Global market plans (GMP) provides strategic marketing, market research, website usability testing, website analytics, SEO, and onsite usability optimization to retail, commerce, and noncommercial profits and nonprofits alike.
Our consultants will identify how to optimize your website to meet whatever KPI you’re looking to improve. We’ll improve conversions, usability, SEO, branding, and value proposition amongst your existing clients, while doing market research and developing plans to grow your business in new markets.
We’ll identify onsite behaviors and trends that you might not know exist, as well as partnership opportunities, and since we are not employed by a branding, design, or marketing agency, the data and recommendations we provide will be on your best interest only (no one else’s).
We also perform onsite market research. We go to the markets you want to grow in/enter, and interview consumers about their shopping habits, where they get their news, and more, so we can recommend an effective approach for your growth in new locations. We combine this with what competitors are doing in those same areas, and also what we know of the region (social, environmental, political, economical trends) to provide a comprehensive understanding of digital trends and behaviors.
We work with vendors and partners on clients’ behalf, and also directly with clients to help them understand the importance of the work we do, while also training them so they can own things moving forward.

Some aspects that are unique to GMP:
- Usability testing: Unlike all major usability testing vendors, our testers are NOT professional usability testers.
- Usability testing: We add more qualifiers to those who are testing your site. For example, if you sell dog products, we make sure we get actual dog owners to test for usability. We make sure they are the ones making the buying decision in that household, because they know what kind of information they’d be looking for, as opposed to someone who doesn’t have a dog. (a non-pet owner may not be able to give the same quality of feedback.)
- Analytics: We run a thorough web analytics audit, and:
- Add appropriate analytics tracking
- Ensure it’s not counting your internal traffic (which can skew data sets)
- Understand referral and marketing traffic patterns
- Understand performance and trends by global region (and if the online data is showing surprising info for a certain region, we look at other, offline, social, environmental, political, etc trends that could explain why (we believe in a comprehensive approach to web analytics).
- Analytics: Our comprehensive approach to analytics goes beyond digital behavior, and even offline behavior specific to your company. We look at global, political, social, environmental, factors that might be impacting sales or traffic. And yes, we also follow your competition closely.
- Market research: We actually go to the geo-regions you’re looking to grow your market in, and do on-the-ground research on consumer buying habits, which we’ve found is much more effective than any other method out there. We also take that as an opportunity to grow your brand’s awareness, so once we have interviewed people for their behaviors, and opinions on your industry, we’ll talk about your brand specifically.
- SEO: we routinely perform SEO audits for clients to identify what pages are hurting more than helping search engine optimization. GMP optimizes copy and tags for SEO and clickthroughs from search engines, like Google.
- Authentic marketing strategies: we usually recommend talking to your customers with FEWER emails, social media sales efforts, and more. Marketing communications in 2017 should be about authenticity and value.
